Subsequent evidence of this clinical infection suggests that SARS-CoV-2 is transmitted from person to person ( Wang et al., 2020). Since its discovery, the COVID-19 virus has been epidemiologically associated with the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, where fish and wild animals are sold at a local level ( Huang et al., 2020). The analysis of different existing studies is one of interest because this will be useful when answers to questions such as: “Does the COVID-19 pandemic affect people's sexual lives?” “What are the factors that affect sex life?”, etc.

The more similarities are observed between studies, the greater the chances are to finding answers to this issue. Taking into consideration the growing number of cases, it is essential to find answers to how this pandemic affects people's sex lives, so that solutions to these issues can be found in the future.

Given the growing interest in this topic and the growing number of publications, we decided to conduct a meta-analysis to find out how the COVID-19 pandemic affected/and still affects people's sex life and sexual behavior. Given the purpose of this research, we focused on studies that have impacted people's sex lives and how this type of virus has altered or not their sex lives. Since the CODIV-19 pandemic has become a part of everyday life, researchers have begun to investigate how people's lives are affected by the virus. On the 12th of August 2020, 20,412,501 cases were reported globally ( Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, 2020). The COVID-19 pandemic began in late 2019 and spread rapidly around the world, affecting the entire population of the planet, being first documented in China, in December 2019 according to World Health Organization (2020c, “WHO announces COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic”). PIONEER SUSTAIN Safety Semaglutide Type 2 diabetes.Since the end of 2019, humanity has been facing a new type of virus, SARS-COV-2, which has greatly affected all people's lives. These findings may guide that semaglutide should be preferred or avoided in T2D patients with specific susceptibility factors. Semaglutide has a good safety profile in general and reduces atrial fibrillation by 31%, but increases diarrhoea by 166% and deep vein thrombosis by 266%. No statistically significant subgroup effects were observed. Semaglutide had no significant effects on 248 other kinds of SAEs. We implemented subgroup analysis according to drug dosages and routes of administration and type of comparators. Meta-analysis was performed using both random-effects and fixed-effects model to evaluate the robustness of pooled results. We conducted meta-analysis to generate pooled risk ratios (RRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs).

Studies eligible for inclusion were the PIONEER and SUSTAIN trials of semaglutide. We sought to assess the risk of semaglutide in leading to various serious adverse events (SAEs) in patients with type 2 diabetes.

The PIONEER and SUSTAIN serial trials are designed to assess the efficacy outcomes with semaglutide in patients with type 2 diabetes, but are not powered to assess various safety outcomes.
